Privacy,

RunMaxx workouts work without a login. The optional Community feature creates a private, anonymous account so runners can connect and compete.

Data collection

RunMaxx does not sell personal data and does not include advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking. If you choose to join Community, RunMaxx sends a generated account identifier, your chosen handle, calculated XP totals, friend relationships, challenges, blocks, and reports to Supabase, our database and authentication provider. If you choose to protect the account for email-and-password sign-in, Supabase also receives your email address. This information is used only to authenticate you, operate Community, prevent abuse, and provide support.

Data stored on your device

RunMaxx stores workout preferences, active-session state, session history, and calculated progress locally on your device. You can delete individual sessions from History. Deleting RunMaxx removes its locally stored data, subject to standard device backups managed by you and Apple.

Notifications and audio

If you enable Lock Screen cues, RunMaxx asks iOS for notification permission and schedules interval notifications on your device. Foreground spoken cues use prerecorded audio bundled in the app and the currently selected audio route; Apple speech may be used only if a bundled recording is unavailable. RunMaxx does not record microphone audio.

Community

Community is optional and intended for people age 13 or older. RunMaxx explains the data sharing and asks for your consent before creating an anonymous account and generated handle, which you may change. Accepted friends can see your handle and weekly and total XP. Reports are available only to authorized moderators for safety review. Blocks prevent interaction. RunMaxx does not provide public profiles, public posts, chat, uploaded avatars, or location sharing.

If you protect an account with email and password, you may request a password-recovery email. The secure link returns to RunMaxx so you can choose a new password. RunMaxx does not reveal whether an account exists for an entered recovery email.

You can delete your Community account from the Community screen. Deletion permanently removes the associated profile, friendships, challenges, and blocks from the live database. A minimal deidentified record of submitted reports—date, reason, status, and a random report identifier—may remain for abuse review; it contains no handle, email, XP, or relationship data. Limited infrastructure backups may also be retained by the service provider for disaster recovery and security.

Health information

RunMaxx does not access HealthKit, location, motion, or other health sensors. Workout dates, interval settings, and session history are not uploaded. Calculated XP totals are fitness data and are linked to the Community account when Community is used.

Service and security data

Supabase may process limited network and authentication logs, such as IP address and request metadata, to provide the service, prevent abuse, and maintain security. RunMaxx does not use this information for advertising or tracking.

Children

RunMaxx is rated and intended for people age 13 or older. It is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Support and feedback

If you email feedback, we receive your message, sender email address, and any details you choose to share, and use them to respond and improve RunMaxx. The in-app form includes the app version; it does not attach workout history or Community account details. You review the email in your email app before sending.
